Alternative solution:

  • Export all data from Lastpass
  • Install free Bitwarden client vor use WRB client
  • import Lastpass exported data
  • usw Bitwarden in all devices
    https://bitwarden.com/

thenpc Tested on a 4a got the same result and so device tag removed.

Can you try using it with Sandboxed Play Services and report back as matchboxbananasynergy suggested. If this doesnt work let me know and I'll get a bug report without it and check through and forward to a dev if required.

    MetropleX Got the same result.

Installed Google Services Framework (com.google.android.gsf). Google Play services (com.google.android.gms), and Google Play Store (com.android.vending) from the Graphene App in new profile, then installed lastpass. Tried to login in the after pressing login the app closes going back to home screen. Also tried just using Aurora store with out the Google services with same results.

Got it working on lineageos on a old phone without google services so was hoping it was not bug so I could use.
I was going to lastpass authenicator, as it has my MFA codes.

If you can submit a report that would be great. I understand it probable will be a while till resolved, but would be nice to able to use eventually. Thanks.

thenpc can you do something for me?

Have you got Lastpass running alongside sandboxed Play Services in your owner profile?

If so go to SETTINGS>SECURITY>Enable secure app spawning and toggle it OFF.
      Reboot
Try to open and login to Lastpass again and let me know if it crashes again.

        a month later

        MetropleX

        I tried the following:

        Installed 'Sandboxed Play Services'
Set 'Enable secure app spawning' to OFF
        Rebooted

Lastpass has the same issue. Opens and then quits.

As others already suggested, and as we are on a security/privacy board, I strongly suggest to move to bitwarden.

DanT1369 Glad to hear that the "Exploit Protection Compatibility Mode" toggle has resolved the issue. We've heard from others that Lastpass won't work without that, which means that Lastpass likely has a memory corruption bug that hardened_malloc was catching, and therefore crashing the app.
