In an unfortunate manipulation I enabled Google Play app installation on my GrapheneOS device (I tought it would be straightforward to disable this afterwards — well, I was wrong...)

It seems now GP can freely browse the apps on my phone... But surely there's a way in Graphene to restore the original settings? (by which I mean, Google services enabled to the mimimum so that most apps run correctly, but if I open GP I get repeatedly the popup "GP isn't allowed to install or manage apps on your device" — that's what I would like to go back to).

I tried to uninstall GP and then re-install it from the Graphene "Apps" app, but I'm not totally sure this worked.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what you're even talking about.

Sandboxed Play Store can access everything that an ordinary app with the same privileges can. Nothing more, nothing less.

ultome Based on what you wrote I think you could be referring to (Settings > Apps > Special App Access > Install Unknown Apps > Google Play Store) and uncheck "Allow from this source". But I think that should've happened automatically when you reinstalled it.

Ok, thanks. Yes it did — I just don't get the popup I used to get anymore, but in the end it's rather an improvement I guess.
