Are there any apps out there that can be downloaded where someone can play around with monitoring networks, checking ports, checking security vulnerabilities and what not? I want to teach myself how to use these tools and if there are apps that are available for this, I would like to look into them.

    hola
Would I just download on a new profile, use rootless version and then download the different tools? Sorry for the late response. I wasn't notified.

Tryptamine Let professionals (GrapheneOS) do their work. Don't tinker with tools of questionable origin and uncertain effect. Your safety and security lies in exercising restraint whenever you go online.

[deleted] agreed. I'm in the middle of developing my own fork of GrapheneOS, currently running a debug (eng) build, while working on my project! I am very appreciative of the most excellent work that the GrapheneOS developers do on a daily basis, and I'm not one to go too far off the beaten path, and I tend to tread cautiously...

I have incredible restraint when online! I religiously block JavaScript and almost never allow it, even for top level websites!

However, OP above was pointed in the direction if the Nethunter tools on their website, I was just showing them a way to find what they wanted in a much easier way! Have I, or do I intend to get wrapped up in using such borderline-sketchy tools? Probably not! Would take time away from learning and working on my project!

        hola
That's what I decided to do. I just need to figure out how to get Pure OS on my chromebook, then download kali.

[deleted] you think that Kali devs are not professionals? for "monitoring networks, checking ports, checking security vulnerabilities" full Nethunter seems to be the best option. gOS is more secure - for sure; but OP did not ask about most secure mobile OS.

paul_le_roux for "monitoring networks, checking ports, checking security vulnerabilities" full Nethunter seems to be the best option.

Yeah, Kali + a MikroTik router with RouterOS. (You can custom build them if you want.)
