I installed grapheneos on my pixel 6a and everything seems to be fine except the gps, it doesn't work using the rerouting option or after installing google play services and giving it location access and stuff. Any idea why that might be?
gps doesn't work.

Reinstall Google maps. Apps that rely on Google Play need to be installed after its installed.

gojuxs Yes it should work inside if you use Google Services. Are you sure you configured it properly ? Here is how to do it.
BHydden There is a setting for this
If you uninstalled and reinstalled Maps like nrt advised, you have an internet connection and it still doesn't work then I don't know what could be the issue.
fixed it. turns out I had to install google play too... I thought the services were enough. I'll update on whether it works without google services outside.

to properly install play services

If you use google's location service and allow wifi & bluetooth scanning and sensors permissions to Google Play Services then location will work inside. But most apps do not need this level of accuracy and rerouting location requests to the OS will be fine.

Do the above statements about needing to install all these apps also mean that if I want a non-gps device that hackers and stalkers can't track me with, I can just leave it all as it?
