I am trying to download graphene OS onto my pixel 5a and it is not working.

I set up the drivers and got to unlocking the boot loader.

The device then reset itself and all data was wiped.

Tried going onto the next step “obtaining factory images”, it says No compatible devices found.

But the pixel 5 was just connected a second ago, but now it’s not compatible???

It is connected by usb, and is connected but doesn’t come under compatible devices.

The only thing that has changed it the bootloader is now down. And that in computer management the pixel 5 now comes under portable devices as “MTP USB Device” instead of under other devices as “pixel 5a” as it did before the bootloader come down.

I do not know what to do, what would you suggest to do to download grapheneOS

Haris045 these kinds of error messages come up regularly. It's possible the computer can't find it for whatever reason. Sometimes restarting the computer can help.

I'd suggest restarting your computer, start the phone in fastboot, then try again. Sometimes people have to try a few times before it works. Nothing wrong with that.

And, lastly, keep in mind that the 5a will be end-of-life very soon. If you find you like GrapheneOS, I'd suggest getting a newer and (in the future) more secure phone that still gets firmware updates.
