Phone is over heating even when ideal battery drain is also very high
Google pixel 6a over heating
Mobileuser123 I remember one of the biggest complaints about the Pixel 6 was that they frequently "overheated".
If your phone is getting noticeably hotter more often, there might be something wrong with it. If you're getting more battery drain, then there might be an app that's running too much. If you can figure out which app that is, you might fix your overheating problem.

I have the Pixel 6 and used to have the same problem before QPR2. Check the battery settings and see if an app is draining the battery more than usual.
I own a Pixel 6 running Gos.
I have never had a message about overheating or noticed excessive heating.
But when I'm playing games and the phone is charging, the charging stops at some point and via the AccuBattery app I can see that the battery is too hot and the charging reduces and stops.
A few minutes after I stop playing, the charging resumes.
I own a Pixel 6a at the beginning of 2023 and got the heating issue 8 weeks ago on long phone calls only. The phone will then be shutdown and after reboot the temperature is still displaying appr. 45 degrees. Any ideas whether it is due to Grapheneos or rather a hardware defect?
