Unable to get cross profile notifications

I'm unable to get cross profile notifications:
I've made sure lock screen notifications are enabled in both profiles. The "run profile in background" and "send notifications to current user" toggles are also enabled. I also allowed the permission for the app itself to run in the background with unrestricted data and battery. I've also tried rebooting many times.

Any other insights as to what may be causing this? Perhaps I accidentally disabled some related system permissions?

I'm getting the notifications in the respective profile, just not on the other profile. It's worked a long time ago when I tested it for fun, but not now.

Guys please help. I'm fighting for my life out here :-(

If the apps in question are using Google's push notifications and you have the sandboxed Google Play installed, make sure that Google Play Services has the unrestricted background battery permission as detailed here: https://grapheneos.org/usage#sandboxed-google-play-installation

Adding this as here as I believe I'm experiencing the same exact thing this person is with getting the notis cross profile (pixel 7): https://github.com/GrapheneOS/os-issue-tracker/issues/3348

Stopped working recently, even for notis that dont require internet/google play. Unsure which specific update caused it, but it was working at a point not long ago. Tried everything I can think of, including what was suggested in the issue.
