MarsTrue I had the impression privacy stuff were heavily interested by German people, with the many resources and sites I came across made by people from there, although all of those had English translation as well.

Sempa the germans are practical people, using the most resonable approach for everything. they're not gonna start translating the entire IT terminology out of spite like the french did.

I haven't spent much time at all there, but I was aware of its existence, and just thought of sharing it with OP. Thank you for your input.

Sempa To my German Fellows, are there any good communities about privacy I could consult?

Find a LUG or CCC group nearby. Read the Datenschleuder and go to CCC Events or watch recordings. My ISP mirrors them.
Digitalcourage, formerly FoeBuD e.V., is almost as old as the CCC.

IT security experts and developers communicate in English. Kuketz blog is German. I rarely read forums, this is an exception at the moment. I find mailinglists more effective.
