  • Double "power button" press not opening camera when phone is locked?

Earlier, double press of the power button opened camera when the phone was both locked and unlocked. Currently it opens only when the phone is unlocked. I have Google Camera app set up "Always" open when power button double pressed.
Is this happening to anyone else or just me?

It sort of works for me. I find I have to double tap extremely fast to open the camera.
Double tap too slow and the only thing that happens is the display powers off.

Thanks. None of the suggested ways worked for me. The described "solution" is to wait for grapheneos update.
What sort of worked for me for now is putting "Camera" shortcut on the lockscreen, so instead of double-pressing power button I press the button on the lock screen.
The main downside is it's inconvenient to do in gloves, but luckily winter is almost over :-)

The double tap works only when the phone is unlocked, when it's locked the only effect I get is the bottom bar briefly blinks.
Although the five times power button press brings up the emergency sos auto-dealing.

Hmmm. Among what I suggested were some pretty specific rituals which were not "wait for an update". In particular, this one had six or seven steps. I haven't done any of this myself, since I use just the stock GrapheneOS camera, but it does sound as if some people have this working for other camera apps.

          Thanks for your help!

It turned out that "allow camera access when the device is locked" must be set in the Main profile for camera to work in other profiles when they are locked. I was looking for this option in my "daily profile" instead.
