  • F-Droid Client with Automatic/Silent Updates?

I'd like for my F-Droid apps to update automatically or at least all at once without having to tap on individual prompts for every app. I thought F-Droid Basic or Droid-ify supported this. I've tried both and still have to tap on a prompt for each app. Am I missing something? Aurora Store lets me press the Update All button and proceeds to update everything with no prompts.

Neither FDroid (without privileged access) nor Droid-ify will automatically update all apps they installed. What you're looking for is Neo Store.

I prefer the design of Droid-ify, but went with Neo Store for convenience.

F-Droid Basic can do unattended updates without privileges. It works well in my experience.

      See: https://f-droid.org/packages/org.fdroid.basic/

NOTE: The Basic version of F-Droid Client has a reduced feature set (e.g. no nearby share and no panic feature). It targets Android 13 and can do unattended updates without privileged extension or root.

Most of the time I don't even get a notification from Droid-ify there was an update for an app, I'm not holding my breath.

Yes, unattended background updates work perfectly fine on F-Droid Basic, after the initial install prompt.
