I got sandboxed play services installed, and used signal and just browsing the web.
It drained almost 5 percent during an hour, didn't not have this issue before installing GOS, I was running Android 12 before.
Any idea what is going on?

I was in the same situation a few weeks back. My battery couldn't last more than 36 hours on light phone usage. And this is unacceptable for me for a brand new battery. So I ended up w/o sandboxes services, with restricted battery usage for Signal and hence missed messages and calls. In the meantime Telegram works fine, no missed messages or excessive battery usage ... Fingers crossed things turn out better for you.
Cerx I've changed the tags from General to Off-Topic as battery drainage is an incredibly subjective metric based on personal use cases, screen brightness, amount of touch interaction, signal level, cellular or wifi and so on and so forth for all the other variables.
If you can approach this a little more scientifically/objectively and provide a fully documented approach as to each days use and run down we can look at troubleshooting.
Happy to help assist but nothing in your post suggests an issue with the OS.
My battery usually drains more for using 90hz refresh rate on my Pixel 4. Which I don't mind. When I use excessive use on my phone it goes to around 30% and can last me the next day for so long. But for me its because the Battery size isn't as good as the pixel 6. There are better batteries I can buy on amazon but I don't trust them for how cheap they are and from random companies that are sketchy. Risk of blown up basically
