My 5a with the latest Graphene and updates died on the commute in the car this (Fri) morning and I cannot power it up. I thought it was at about 50% but am not sure, so not sure what happened or why it shut down, but it just shut down in the middle of some music after playing a book and some music fine the first 10 or so minutes of my commute.

I've had trouble with some power cords not working, but just tried the one that worked fine Wed night and Thurs morning to charge it up to 100% and still no indicators or anything from the phone itself. Just a dark blank screen.

Is there anything I can do or try?

andrewteg You could try leaving it connected to power for a while, holding the power button for 90 seconds (to force it off), then trying to power it on.

But there are lots of hardware failures that could result in you being unable to get it running -- even something as simple as a bad power button. It sounds as if the next step may be a repair shop.

Thanks, hadn't thought about the 90 sec thing! It seems it's dead, so a repair shop is in my future :(
