URGENT: disable green recording dot

Hi,

I may need to silently record a conversation in person without exposing myself. However, there is the privacy notification visible even in lockdown mode.

Please remind me how to disable it. Couldn't find it myself.

You can't, outside of an adb command that might fuck things up

You have no idea why they want an answer to this question, but they didn’t come here for judgement. I suggest opinion is left at the door unless necessary, and concentrate on the answer at hand.

Case in point, I privately recorded my ex boss telling me that he was going to ‘cave my head in’ if I didn’t leave the job on my own accord.
What’s ethical?

Why would they even see it? But the phone into a case, or put a big piece of tape over the "camera" including that area. Its pretty common for people to have that, and again why would they turn on your display?

As recorder I recommend record you.

Can't you just lock the screen after you have started the audio recording? Then the entire screen is black and the green light is not visible.
