  • In System UI crashing after Graphene Update 10/5/2023, cant get past login screen

    Update:
    Behavior repeatable in safe mode.

    1. Power on device -> Google -> Graphene -> Lock screen
    2. Press and hold power button until power options show on screen
    3. Hold down the power off option on screen
    4. confirm that you want to place the device in safe boot
    5. device boots in safe mode
    6. safe mode is shown on bottom lefthand corner of screen
    7. wrong pin shows "wrong pin" message
    8. correct pin gives black screen and or "System UI has stopped working"

    Accepts CORRECT pin, and splashes black screen or "System UI has stooped working" once again locking

      At graphene recovery screen the following information is available
      google/oriole/oriole13/TQ3A.230901.001/2023100300
      user/release-keys

      After a number of attempts to unlock the device restarts.

      Attempted to access settings from lock screen, able to see it for a split second after passcode entry before system UI crashes and phone restarts

      Hi,
      last night, my phone asked to update, I allowed, this morning, I am unable to access my device.
      When at the Pin screen or password,

      1. when entered incorrectly it says "wrong pin" etc
        1. when entered correctly the screen goes black or a pop up saying System UI has crashed will splash then the screen will go black.

      Any advice on how to get past this without a wipe / reinstall?
