matchboxbananasynergy Won't it be able to do that before unlocking? But yeah I now see the problem.
All of the apps you mention have their own notification systems. So yes, the notifications will work without play services.
Not really necessary for any of them.
Not installing Play Services would be the most privacy-friendly setup but in general giving only the absolute required permissions and denying unnecessary permissions (such as
sensors
for Play Services apps) is best practice.I suggest reading https://grapheneos.org/features#notification-forwarding
Here is their privacy policy: https://www.magicearth.com/privacy/ The decision is ultimately up to you.
treequell Nah, I just phrased it badly. Thank you for correcting me. I meant that the device will auto-reboot after 10 minutes of inactivity and perform the update while rebooting (if an update is available).
And yes, the device will not reboot while installing an update as the auto-reboot timer does not start until successfully booting and unlocking the device.
No, it means the system performs updates automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity.
Did you install Play Services before Whatsapp?
You can get Digital Wellbeing from apkmirror although setting it up is a bit more complicated.
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/digital-wellbeing/It does learn your preferences. It's just kinda dumb

primipare Users are like different phones. Every user can have 2 profiles: user profile and work profile. Any app can see which other apps are installed in the same profile as them.
miyouji It can't fingerprint someone on its own, but it is a factor in fingerprinting. So it does matter. Also "in a big sample space" which the GrapheneOS community is not compared to Stock OS users. This can especially depend on the language in question. For example there aren't many GrapheneOS so I stand out.
dmzee Spotify lite is a much better version of the Spotify app without all the bloat and less trackers.
f13a-6c3a This.
Also restarting your router can help.

[deleted] Finding the "correct" apk for the device is about the device's CPU architecture. CPU architecture is not an identifier as it's not unique. Identifiers are unique properties that can be used to identify and differentiate individual devices.
Oggyo Yes, it's the same case for any app.
alex_herrero I did the same before lol
Noob12 It should be the one with
arm64
. so for the latest release it'skoreader-android-arm64-v2023.01.apk
GrapheneOS itself supports Korean but GrapheneOS keyboard has no Korean/Hangul input option so you would need a third party keyboard app.
