Drivers are up to date and when I download the ADB driver from https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb, and point the driver installer to it, it is telling me that the best possible driver is already installed.

Note that I am not even getting the notification on my phone to be able to switch to data transfer.

  • Hi everyone -

I'm at a loss here. I'm not able to connect my Pixel 4a to my Windows PCs. The windows PC is saying that the device cannot be recognized. The phone is charging however.

    • USB accessories: Allow new USB peripherals
    • Phone is unlocked
    • Tried two PCs
    • Tried multiple cables (capable of transmitting data)
    • USB debugging is enabled (not sure how this affects this)
    • The phone recognized USB drives (so USB port seems to be working)

The windows device manager is saying, that the device is not known and gives error code 43.

    What am I not seeing?
Help would be much appreciated. Thanks :)
