    Let's say Signal.

I don't think any messages are logged in plain text. It does show activities and events of the app.

Do we need to keep aactivity logs of apps?

    Hi all,

I've noticed in the app settings there is an option to view logs.

I believe this is used to check if the app is not functioning as it should be.

    It's all very technical jargon.

My question is do these log files contain any sensitive information about the end user?

When I read the scientific report that discussed they were able to use the log files for their research.

    https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S2666281722000166

"As a result, we succeeded in decrypting all the encrypted database, multimedia, log, and preferences files of three messengers."

I understand they need access to the device to obtain these log files.

What exactly can they do with it?

    Thank you

    • Hi,

Ive noticed the blueline is no longer available to flash via web based. Is there an archive somewhere that I can download the file to flash onto my pixel 3?

I know security updates are no longer supported for these devices.

      Thanks

    • Hi all

Thank you all for your hard work to make GrapheneOS possible.

My friends and I are using Pixel 3 and we understand that security updates have stopped for these devices.

Does that mean these devices are regarded "unsafe" to use since pixel 3 will not be getting the Nov updates?

      Thanks

      • Hi all

I have been trying to find a compatible UEM or MDM device administrator like Miradore however it is unsupported.

We like to deploy GrapheneOS devices to our staff but also be able to manage it.

At this stage it is still work in progress.

I've stumbled across this app called Sentry which the user can determine the number of failed passwords attempts before the device is wiped.

I know GrapheneOS uses the Weaver time delays. My question is will Sentry app will cause any security vulnerabilities and is there any compatible UEM or MDM for GrapheneOS?

        Thabk you

      • I understand GrapheneOS uses the Weaver, why it cannot implement an option to allow the user to set a limit of maximum failed passwords. After lets say 10 password failed attempts the device will be wiped.
