Hi everyone, long-time lurker, first-time poster. Also sorry for this long-winded question.
I recently installed an e-SIM in my phone after learning that I needed to install the sandboxed Google Play Service and Play Store. No problem there. Some of the people in the GOS posts I was reading said they would uninstall the Google products after their e-SIM installs to avoid keeping Google products on their device. Well that's what I did, thinking I'd be able to manage my e-SIM without needing the privileged eSIM management option, but I was wrong.
Currently I have a physical SIM for voice and text messages, and an eSIM from a different provider just for mobile data. At home I don't need mobile data, so my intention was to keep that eSIM disabled until I needed it. Under the SIMs menu, I'm unable to activate that eSIM; tapping on it and toggling "Use SIM" and "Turn On" gives me an error saying "Can't disable carrier" "Something went wrong and your carrier could not be disabled." Since this isn't what I'm trying to do, it seems that I do in fact need enable privileged eSIM management, which I can't do anymore because I uninstalled the sandboxed Google Play services and Play Store, and cannot find them on my phone anymore. What I'd like to know is if there is an easy way of getting these apps and dependencies again, or should I reinstall GrapheneOS on my device so I get the proper apps sandboxed?
