New Graphene user here... Also ran into this issue when they had me try to create a new account for troubleshooting - when creating a new account the error message becomes less ambiguous and says that your operating system is not supported because it things its an emulator. The support person said they registered a complaint for me. Disappointing that the desktop trick through Vanadium doesn't have all features from the app. Hopefully, they fix it at some point.

router99 the one I noticed is that none of the bitcoin features are accessible. May be others... I didn't look further since that's all I use cashapp for.

Googles position with authy given their overall dominace in various sectors is walking them down the road of anti trust. If a "rom" is properly using verified boot and following and in fact far exceeding all current security standards their is no legal security rooted reason to actively inhibit them. But it goes further when you consider at the same time they are rubber stamping various apps phones that are not following their own standards. It seems they are doing so to actively prevent competition. Nit a good look for a corp that is walking a razor's edge with an anti-trust investigation.

router99 that was one of the first things I thought about. Laptops desktops work correct? They have none of this level of sevurity hardware verification but phones are required to? Like laptops do not get stolen etc. They have far far worse security and much easier to get user/root/admin rights . Personally I am still a bit old school in making payments. I do not link my cards etc to a app like that.

I notice that CashApp v 4.72.0 (from Aurora store) works fine on Pixel 4a, but CashApp v 4.78.0 (from Aurora store) on Pixel 6a does not. I get the "couldn't verify this account belongs to you" error.

Was anyone able to get Cash App working? I’m still getting the “We couldn’t verify that this account belongs to you” error even after authenticating with phone number, email, Cash Card number, or credit card number. Someone mentioned being able to use the Vanadium browser but after putting in my PIN I get “Unable to sign in on this device. Please sign in to the app instead.” I am loading the desktop version of the site since the mobile version doesn’t seem to have an option to sign in with an existing account, at least not up top in the banner like the desktop site.
I’m using Cash App version 5.16.2 from Google Play Store on GOS build 2025091900.

rb411 Its random, I have had it work and not work, usually on systems with Google services installed, using only email auth. The browser works 100% of the time for me, application however is just random.

raccoondad Thanks for the update. I'll keep checking in on it but it isn't a huge deal for me since I have other devices it works on but it would be nice to get it working on my phone since that's the only device I have on me basically 24/7.

I just tested it out and it worked for me. I installed Cash App from the Play Store while logged into Google in a sandboxed Play Services profile. I gave Cash App all of the permissions it requested, turnd on Exploit protection compatibility mode, and connected to my mobile network (no WiFi) with no vpn.
