Obtainium wrongfully says 'not installed'

I installed KeePassDX via Github. Added the link to Obainium and in the Obtainium apps list it says: ‘not installed’. KeepassDX launches fine.
There where it states the installed version with other apps it mentiones a date: 2023-11-09, which is the release date of the latest release.

Is this a known Obtainium bug? Or is there an obvious mistake I made?
I want to make sure Obtainium will update KeepassDX, what can I do? Uninstall and reinstall?
How can I check in Obtainium what links I entered for apps to update?

Just did some quick checking, and it would seem the problem is the App IDs. Obtainium shows it as "com.kunzisoft.keepass" (underneath "By Kunzisoft" on the details page), which means it doesn't match with the actual ID of the app that gets installed. For example, I installed the libre version (I assume you did too) and the ID is "com.kunzisoft.keepass.libre" (you can check the ID at the bottom of the App Info page under the Version number).

Unfortunately I don't think there's a way around this. None that I can tell at least. You might want to make an issue on their github reporting this, to see if they'll fix it.

The issue in Obtainium is solved:
I deinstalled KeePassDX. It stayed in the Obtainium installed list (!) W.h.y. I found that in the Import/Export section in Obtainium there is a remark, (translated by me:)
'Imported apps may possibly be incorrectly displayed as 'not installed'. Just reïnstall via Obtainium, this should not influence app data'.
So I reïnstalled the app from downloads folder, and then let Obtainium reïnstall. 'Not installed' is now replaced by version number.

In general, myself I don't think a mismatch of App ID is possible if you allways use the right link from the source you downloaded the app in question in the first place, correct me if I'm wrong.

I have no clue what the difference is beteen the free and the libre apk. And I googled (starpaged) that for 20 minutes. I installed free.apk.
What is the difference? I use a Pixel 8 if that makes any difference.

If in Obtainium in the apps list I click on the date then in the pop up it shows the link indeed. But no edit is possible, correct? It is easy to accidentally enter an assets-link instead of a project-link for instance, I think that will be static and not retrieve updates.

Ok, just tried it again and I can confirm that updating/installing through Obtainium does solve the issue. It even changes the app ID on the details page to the correct ID (its now "com.kunzisoft.keepassdx.libre" instead of just kunzisoft.keepassdx).

This is what their FAQs say:

All versions currently have the same usage features.

The Free version, for everyday use, is the basic version at the Google Play Store. It is compiled and signed by the developers, and sent to the Play Store to be cataloged by Google.

The Libre version is the version provided to have no proprietary code, and is not linked to any closed services. The app is automatically signed and compiled from the GitHub repository by F-Droid. It is possible to unlock the themes with a procedure.

As far as I can tell, yes you can not edit the source link once added. You have to remove and add again if you want to change the link.
