Vanadium browser copy/paste issue/error/glitch

Hello guys Its impossible for me to copy anything longer then what's currently displayed on my screen say I wanna copy a large paragraph I'll start my copy indicator at the start of it then as soon as I go to scroll down when in highlight mode everything gets messed up I can only highlight what's on my screen as soon as I start scrolling it either highlights the entire website or just breaks its kinda frustrating cause when I need to copy something larger then 15 lines or so I need to do it in small parts instead of all at once again not a big deal would just like to know if theres a fix to this or something I can do to fix my highlight option on my stock gos browser Thanks ! Love the software and team y'all are great !!

Can you explain how things are getting messed up?

For me when I select stuff, the page scrolls down very fast, then it seems like everything is selected. I assume it's because of how HTML works, in that one element will be higher up in the HTML source, then if you highlight something on the page that is elsewhere in the source, then it highlights all the stuff between. This way too much stuff is highlighted, and I agree it's annoying.

Maybe someday Google Chromium devs can make the logic for selecting things on websites less chaotic and more people friendly.

iak I know what you mean. Try to select a portion of text but don't go past the edge of the screen. Then if you want to go further, with firm touch and hold scroll the screen further. Extend your selection and repeat process until whole desired text is selected. Then copy it, it works.

Yeah exactly what I mean by messed up is yeah it highlights the whole page its frustrating I'm in a forum right now and I'm trying to copy paste a large portion of text but like what was stated above I either need to do it in small numbers with whats displayed on the screen or not at all I'm just wondering if there is a work around when I used to have my iPhone I could start my highlighter wherever then scroll down as much as I wanted on safari with the highlighter I would drag it to the bottom of the screen and it would start to scroll down I could copy very large amounts of text in one go and only get what I wanted it would always hold the position where i started the highlighter it woudnt highlight the entire website with titles and everything as soon as I start to scroll ! Again love the os and I'm extremely gratful to run it on my device its just something small thats a bit annoying is all !

iak if you want to copy text from this forum you could temporarily render the page in desktop mode. Go to browser settings > Accesibility > Text scaling to lowest + force enable zoom. Zooming out would allow you to select much larger portions of the text. Just saying, there is a workaround for everything and those who are willing, seek solutions, not excuses.

[deleted] yes that's a possibility and there is work arounds I just feel like there's a simple solution here I know nothing about code or os all I know is that on my 10 year old iPhone I could select however much text I wanted easily with no fuss now granted that phone was much worse in many other departments like security but it was also convenient and easy to use copy and pasting small parts of a large paragraph is frustrating and uneccesary not to sound ungrateful cause I'm not I just hope that there can be a more permanent fix i noticed I can scroll down some in certain situations it seems to have something to do with where you start the highlighter sometimes you can only highlight 15-20 lines sometimes you can get 30-40 lines and scroll down some too if you start at the right spot I just hope a dev can see this and that its not too difficult to fix these guys got enough on there hands to deal with as is and I'm very grateful for all they have given us as a community !
