Glad to read in the linked article about backup means - my 5a falls out of 'current' next year and the only browser I have with payment means available is... Vanadium.

Idk but hopefully there will be a way for me to disable the blocker. (To ensure that such a blocker won't be used for survallence purposes)

... its being implemented by GrapheneOS themselves. If you don't trust the team, I'm not sure why you're using GOS in the first place.

And even if we entertain the idea the GOS isn't trustworthy, then a content blocker would be the least of your worries when it comes to surveillance. Like perhaps, you know, the entire operating system you're using (or even simply the browser that the content blocker would be part of).

Besides, on matters unrelated to security, GrapheneOS can be summed up with the singular word of "choice" anyway, so I don't see why not being able to disable the blocker would be a concern.

How will this compare to similar content blockers in the subject of fingerprinting?

Compared to browsers like Brave, Firefox + uBlock Origin, vanadium has a significantly smaller userbase, and as such I fear fingerprinting for vanadium will worse be off.
