Any way to get Google Pay working at all (patches, bypasses, etc.)

I've been looking into it, and yes I know Google SafetyNet/PlayIntegrity or whatever it's called is a limiting factor. But I'm wondering if there's any known way at all to bypass or patch or spoof or what have you to be able to set up Google Wallet to use NFC card payments? Or if Google Pay is out of the question, are there any alternatives that will (that work in Australia)?

Not that I know of.

Don't quote me on this, but I think they'll start working after GrapheneOS finishes their work on spoofing the checks done by apps using the Play Integrity API. If I understand correctly, their spoofing workaround will work for some, maybe most apps, but will not work forever. We have no way of knowing when they'll start using the "strong mode," which GrapheneOS, apparently, cannot spoof.

edit: forgot to mention that I have no idea if their spoofing results mean that Google Wallet will work. Just saying this is something that might help temporarily.

Google is just being Google. Not much can be done about that, unfortunately.
