Pixel 6a installation Array buffer allocation failed

Help! I was using the WebUSB installed on my old Pixel3a connected to my Pixel6a and during the flashing process it gave me the error "Error: Array buffer allocation failed".

I selected "Reboot system now" in the fastbootd hoping it'd work, but now it's stuck in the following bootloop:

"Bootloader is unlocked and softfare integrity... Visit this link on another device ID:"
White screen + Google logo
Black screen

Did I just brick my new Pixel 6a? What do I do?

Ok, held down the "Volume down" button as it was rebooting, now I'm trying to flash the factory image again, hope it works this time

Is it normal that I have to select "Reconnect device" multiple times, every time it restarts? And after "Writing vendor_boot..." it ends up in the fastbootd menu. When I press "Reconnect device" here, it does some stuff like "Unpacking product...".

Now there's a new error: "Error: The requested file could not be read, typically due to permission problems that have occurred after a reference to a file was acquired."

Yes, clicking "Reconnect device" is part of the installation process.

Make sure that you are not using Incognito mode and that your Pixel 3a has enough free storage (32GB).

There's enough free storage (35,47GB) and I'm not using incognito

Okay, so I ended up installing "google-chrome-stable" on my distro (Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS), made sure "android-sdk-platform-tools-common" is installed and tried to flash the image from my desktop pc instead of my old phone, connecting the USB-C cable to the back.

This seems to have worked!

I'm getting this exact problem, "Array buffer allocation failed." Installing on 6a using an LG G8 with Chrome browser. Phone has enough free space and browser is not in incognito. It occurs well into the install process when the screen begins to say "Writing system..."

I'm getting:
Error: The requested file could not be read, typically due to permission problems that have occurred after a reference to a file was acquired.

I am using Windows 10, with an up to date instance of Microsoft Edge (chromium based).
Any advice is appreciated... at this point I have bricked the phone I think, as it failed half way through the 'flash' part? :(

The issue in my case was solved by running Edge as Administrator... 0.o Not sure why that was necessary, I didn't see anything about that in the instructions. :/
