Can't disable Play Protect

Hello,

after a fresh install (I'm new to GrapheneOS) on a Pixel 6a, and after I installed Sandboxed Google Play Store.
I'm not able to disable Play Protect.
The "tick" is always on, I click on it, it ask if I want to turn it off, I click yes, but then the "tick" is still enabled.

I tried to remove play store, erase its data, always the same...

Did I make something wrong ?

Play Protect doesn't really function with Sandboxed Google Play right now, as it is a feature that requires privileged access to do what it does, which is not possible due to them being confined by the standard app sandbox.
We care about getting the play protect toggle fully working despite play protect not being fully functional so that we can help alleviate this issue but also so that MDM systems which enforce it being on can work properly, which is why it is set that way for the time being for improved compatibility.

The app shown is installed from SDcard and not from play store.
It seems Play Protect is able to do its job... so I would like to have a way to disable it :)

You are refering to MDM...
Currently on my main phone (Samsung S20) I don't want to install Teams/outloook because my company force to install Intunes... and I don't want to install this crap without being able to control it.
Is it something GOS can address ?

Orphee address it in what way? Device Management apps are not designed to give you control but give the company control. If you have the benefit of dual wielding devices I would advise keeping a setup like you have with your employers MDM on another device.

Send unknown apps to Google

If you install apps from unknown sources outside of the Google Play Store, Google Play Protect may ask you to send unknown apps to Google. When you turn on the “Improve harmful app detection” setting, you allow Google Play Protect to automatically send unknown apps to Google.

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store app Google Play.
At the top right, tap the profile icon.
Tap Play Protect and then Settings.
Turn Improve harmful app detection on or off.

Let me know if this resolves your concerns.

It is already set like this.
It was the first thing I did after Google Play install.
I can't disable play protect, but this one is disabled dive day 1.

Orphee the toggle should be fully functional in the latest release it is in alpha at the moment soon to hit beta.
