I love GrapheneOS, so when my Pixel 6 died, I ordered a replacement 6+ via swappa.com. It shipped on a Monday, and was due to arrive on Thursday. But it did not arrive. Tracking said "in network..." day after day, until the package finally arrived the following Friday, 8 days late.
I imagine there's a non-zero probability the phone was tampered with during that delay.
I can't be sure, as I'm not savvy to what to look for at the hardware level.
It's reasonable to assume that I'm on list(s) for being insufficiently enthusiastic about The Regime.
Can you recommend anyone who might be interested in taking a look at the phone, in case they might see what hardware "enhancements" our spooky friends may be up to?
Spooky! Used Pixel delayed 8 days in transit via USPS

gos It is not easy to tamper with a phone especially the Pixel line of phones. That being said, unless you have been specifically targeted by an advanced adversary, it is very unlikely your phone was tampered with. Despite this, there are steps you can take to verify if any tampering has occurred.
You can try installing GrapheneOS and then pause boot on first GrapheneOS boot. Check the hash value and compare it with the hash for the image you installed on the GrapheneOS website.
If you can confirm they match, you can resume boot and verify using the Auditor app.
If you want you can install a trustworthy third-party app that can monitor your network connections and check if there are any unusual connections.
