Ok, i have checked this...nice finding mister, this is really an excellent piece of software work, it was also immediately installed on the desktop. Thanks for this tip. Too bad that such a thing is not possible out of stock.
For all interested, no Wlan is necessary, but a network interface, with paid data connections you should consider that even if nothing is loaded into the Internet, the data volume is charged. With small text files no problem, but with a complete media collection that could very well affect.
other8026 It doesn't work the way you seem to think it does. I just checked, and call logs are not, for lack of a better word, owned by any user, so they're not shared from one user to another. There are system services and other things that operate independently of profiles. Profiles that are given permission to access call logs, for example, can use CallLog.Call to get records of all calls. I didn't check text messages, but I'm sure it works in much the same way.
No, but the data must be stored on SD card like any other data, or how do you want to store the data even if it is only small text files? Somewhere on the SD card the information is stored and in the active profile this data must be read or provided, however.
And if we can store data independently of profiles, why shouldn't we be able to store any kind of data that way?
There is no difference, every profile can change or delete the data. If you need permission, why not use scoped folders like the other apps?
You can of course solve it as elegant as the above app over the network, but some security experts might surely object to that, because they generally consider networks as insecure. The connection is sufficiently encrypted for me with TLS. And since I am the owner and only operator, I can confidently put aside the security considerations, not interesting for me.
