Launcher lagging as hell...

Hello,

can anybody confirm that the launcher lags about 5-10 Seconds to go homescreen, I use gestures and this behavior comes every time after changing the profile and then back to owner profile. Back gesture or any app option doesn't work till this lag time ticks down, i have to wait till homescreen appears....all the rest works very nice and smooth, only launcher lags as hell.... Any advice for this?

Include software version with queries like this, otherwise it's meaningless.

I also have this problem. I thought it is because of the number of apps I have in the main profile. I opened another new profile and the problem wasnt there. Basically when i press the middle button (circle button) to go home, it freezes for 2 sec and then goes home. Same is for the square button to show apps that are running, it freezes for 2 sec. Also when I get eg. notifications and click on them it freezes again around 2 sec and then goes to the app.

[deleted] I did a reboot, till now i had no lags anymore, so it must be something different then changing profiles...?

Till today i has no problem with a lagging launcher.

Yesterday it was coming back, but after a reboot it was again gone till now... I suspect with longer runtimes, an error occurs that the memory overflows and then the launcher falls off in the back, which has to be reloaded. This repeats itself constantly.

Same problem here. Has the root cause been found? My phone is unusable.

Yes, but for a short period of time. After a few minutes my launcher is unusable again. It seems like it's a little better with the stock Launcher, but I also notice lagging there.

believe or not at this time of the post this one which is on the GOS update server, so I don't know because I didn't look after this, I can only provide the version after the last update last days,
But since my last post 5 days ago no problems...so it takes some time till it comes back for now, last reboot today.

I found a temporary fix when using default launcher. When you experience the issue on any profile after switching, do the following:

Settings -> Apps -> Launcher -> Force stop

This will restart the launcher, and I've found the past few times I've had the issue it fixes it.

Did anyone try to install another launcher? Are there good alternatives?
