Samsung Dex Alternative with Graphene OS

I know that in the developer options for Android that there's an experimental desktop mode. I'm wondering if any users of Graphene OS have been using desktop version of Android? I like to use it with my nreal air sunglasses with Samsung Dex to watch movies and play COD. I'm highly interested in making the switch if it works.

In case you need a bigger screen you could consider google pixel tablet as it is possible to install graphene os on one, as per samsung dex but for graphene os, i am not a developer so i cannot say ,,NO'', but i can say that if it's a new feature, and graphene os project will want to add this, it will probably take a little longer than with other phones. Hopefully one of the developers will add something from their perspective.

8th gen Pixels have the capability to do DP alt mode, though stock OS currently disables it by default, and GrapheneOS hasn't enabled it yet, more info here:

That's the first building block, so if you're interested in this functionality, you need to get an 8th gen Pixel as a starting point.

It is likely that one of the reasons for Google to disable DP alt mode on the new Pixels right now is because they want to finish their desktop mode first, and they have been working on it - just very slowly.

There might come a time when AOSP has a proper DeX alternative - it's too early to tell. This isn't something that GrapheneOS would develop on their own, so it will have to come from upstream.
