Was I tricked with my pixel 7 purchase?

Hello, was excited to try to install grapheneOS, so I bought this pixel 7: Amazon Pixel 7 Unlocked
But im worried, really worried.
I can't seem to OEM unlock it.
Would this hint to it being...not unlocked like it claims to be?
How can I tell? I don't have a sim nor a good way to test, but i fear this is somehow Verizon.
Was I tricked?

Using the IMEI checker link that you posted, I checked the two Pixels that I currently own.

#1 - pixel 6a, ordered Unlocked from Amazon. The Google IMEI checker shows this phone as "Unlocked."

#2 - pixel 7, ordered unlocked from Google Store,. The Google IMEI checker shows this phone as "Fi."

That your phone reads as "Verizon" I think is a bad sign.

Always ensure you know which exact model number you are buying.

Have you connected it to the internet ?
If yes then it sounds like you have a carrier unlocked phone but not google unlocked phone .

A bit confused, I figured the name on Amazon saying unlocked was enough but ig it was false.

So far i connetced it via Wifi, and on the google site it claims to be verizon, and i seem to be unable to enable OEM.
Ig it was just false advertised from the amazon page?

I have purchased Unlocked pixels from Amazon and have had no problems unlocking the bootloader.

If you purchased an Unlocked pixel from Amazon but it isn't actually unlocked, then it's simple - return the phone and try again.

Before returning, however, you can always reach out on the gos matrix channels if you need realtime assistance to make certain that your phone is actually OEM locked.

DemonStudios112 There's carrier unlocked and there's bootloader unlocked. You need the latter. Some carrier variants can never be bootloader unlocked and Verizon ones are the worst (just search around this forum for 'verizon'). Check the first 2.45 minutes of this clip for pointers.
