GrapheneOS version 2023100900 released
Same here – and I have found the reason!
You are using display lock, right?
There is a new update for Session on GitHub and in the own repository of Session on F-Droid with version 1.17.3.
If you have installed it and then browsing all submenus of preferences menu, don't activate display lock!
All other settings are working as usual, but in the moment, when you activate display lock in submenu Privacy, first entry, your Session app will crash!
If you can't reach the settings because the app is always crashing after the start, tap long on the app icon, select “App Info” and then delete “cache” and “memory content”.
Attention! All of your chats and contacts will be deleted! Be sure, you know your recovery phrase!
Only the last 14 days will be recovered by using the recovery phrase – but today there is no other way to get the app running again – maybe tomorrow or a little bit later there will be a newer update 1.17.4 (?) which fixes all easy with installing it?
If you have very, very important and/or older chats and contacts, then it's maybe worth to be patient and wait for the next bugfix from Session's Dev team…
I have sent my crash reports to CTO Lee Jeffereys and they will fix it.
Tip: Use your password vault to store Session IDs from your important contacts.

Bingo!
Downloaded 1.17.3 from GitHub.
Thanks very much for all the help here.
Guest profiles are not being deleted upon end session , has this brought to the devs attention?
Skyway In the multiple users menu, have you enabled "delete guest activity"?

Gesture Navigation (swipe up to home, swipe and hold to recent apps) stopped working in secondary profile after A14 update.
It works normally in Owner profile.
I am using 3 buttons nav. as a backup.
The home button and the back button works but the recent apps button does not work . (in secondary profile). All the settings are same as the Owner profile.
Edit - I checked in other profiles.
Gesture Navigation works only in Owner profile.
It does not work in any secondary profile.Update - I created a new profile to check whether this issue exists only in profiles created in Android 13.
Seems Gesture navigation does not work in any profile whether it was created in A13 or A14.
This issue is fixed.
- I was using Lawnchair launcher in Owner profile as well as in all the secondary profiles.
- I reverted back to default GOS launcher in secondary profile to check whether launcher is causing the issue. Seems it was.
Gesture Navigation works all right with default GOS launcher. - Now I am using Lawnchair launcher in Owner profile and default GOS launcher in all the secondary profiles.

matchboxbananasynergy yes it is . happens on both alpha and stable release.
For what it may be worth, I just got Session version 1.17.4 from F-Droid.
GrouchyGrape I'm getting the same behavior, starting with the 2023101100 update. I hit reboot on the update notification and set the device down for an hour or two. When I picked it up again it was turned off, and I had to turn it on for the update to finish.., but afterward it did show that I had the current version. I didn't know what had happened. Today, with the 2023101300 update, same behavior, only this time I saw the no OS found error before it powered itself off. Again, I powered it back on and it finished the update, and now shows the latest version.
I am having problems tapping on a notification for example of signal and then didn't go into the signal app i stay on the notification "window" but signal is under it.
gonzalo We are receiving reports that people can reproduce this on Stock OS. It's not GrapheneOS specific. It is either an AOSP bug, or a bug with Signal.
matchboxbananasynergy good to know, thanks
gonzalo I've pretty much given up hope on SeedVault ever working correctly. It needs to be replaced but as the devs have stated it's a lot of work to do so.
I think it should be removed entirely until a replacement is written otherwise it gives a false sense of safety in backups that may never work.
