Delayed App Notifications, Messenger Signal KQSMS

So I been using GrapheneOS since March this year on a Pixel 7. However over the last couple of days, I have noticed the only way to see if I have a message from signal or an sms message is if I open the app, then I get bombarded with a bunch of messages from earlier in the day. I do not remember changing any settings as of recent to even of caused this to be a thing. Not really even sure where to look to make adjustments. Messages only showing up if I open the Application. Thanks for any help sorry if my lingo is not up to par.

Go to Settings > Apps > [App name] > App battery usage > set to Optimized (default) if it's on Restricted but if it's already on Optimized then set to Unrestricted. Battery usage doesn't really change from my experience.

thanks for the response, I just checked the app and it was set to Unrestricted, I set it to Optimized, when I text from my other phone to this phone on Signal, unless the app is Open I won't get any messages. I am in the habit of closing all my apps when Im not using my phone, but for some reason Signal is just not sending the messages through. This just started happening about 2 or 3 days ago. I am going to uninstall restart and reinstall the app and see if that does anything

So I just uninstalled and reinstalled and back in business. Not entirely sure what caused this issue for me, but so far after a few quick messages to myself from my other phone things are back to normal. Was a very weird situation and really didn't think about reinstalling the app. I might of had a setting or something changed in the SandBox Section... when I went to try to reinstall the Signal App from the PlayStore, something was turned off preventing me from accessing the store. I had to enable the Network and SMS Permissions. I think they got turned off which I really don't recall doing such a thing.. but i think that was my issue.

I had the exact same issue few days back Signal notifications suddenly stopped working
I tried multiple things, even reinstalled playservices and then the signal app(Signal app was not even recognizing play services installed and it was using its own way to receive notification), but nothing worked fine for me and finally i did a factory reset and everything is working fine now.

Before doing this i tried to update Google play services via play store then i saw its status was installing and never completed, i believe this was the issue, im not sure though.
This time onward i didnt enable the option to update play services apps via playstore. ill just use the GOS app for updating this.
