Anyone using FOSS FindMyDevice, do you use Google location?

I am currently using GOS location proxy so I cannot really locate my device if it is indoors. What do you guys do in this situation? Do you go for the privacy loss using Google for the peace of mind of having your device always reachable? Or maybe the opposite?
