Privacy screen protector and FPS(fingerprint sensor)

I decided to get this protector based on overall positive reviews and seems to really be the only one that tries to incorporate the FPS.
The issue is once applied existing prints no longer work (kept them from last protector use but was clear not privacy). I cleared them thinking I'll just remake em but I either get 30-80% of the way through enrolling prints before it says enrollment can't be completed

Some searching on google (ddg search sucks) this is somewhat known and only option is to factory reset and MAYBE it'll work again.
Thing is this is a freshly wiped device from a week ago that I just finished setting up manually since this is the only ROM on the planet with no official or usable backup & restore feature requiring you to painstakingly enter each app you use to utilize whatever backup option it may have, if any.

Has anybody successfully gotten an anti-spy/privacy screen protector to work with the biometric unlock? How did you do it?

Just double checking: did you increase the fingerprint sensitivity in the settings?

doffactory is there a sensitivity setting specifically for the fingerprint sensor? Since applying a screen protector on my pixel 9, the fingerprint sensor doesn't work in low light settings. This is with the touch sensitivity setting on, I was wondering if there is something else I have to do.

chock-a-block isn't the regular 9 also using an ultrasonic sensor? In that case I think you need a special screen protector for that to work, just like the Samsungs.

The pixel 9 uses an ultrasonic sensor for the fingerprint so it wouldn't matter if there's low light. I use a privacy screen protector on my 9 pro and it works like a charm. Only thing I think of would be to delete your current fingerprints and redo them with the screen protector applied.

chock-a-block there's some that do block the ultrasonic to some degree and others are designed so that the impact is minimal. Generally speaking, thickness is one of the crucial factors as well. But since even the Made for Google ones seems to be causing trouble for some people, you should probably follow @Conjure6589's recommendation.

if your screen protector wasnt installed correctly for whatever reason you may experience this, i took 2 3 tries of using new privacy protectors and works like a charm. Make sure you take out bubbles and become a pro at installing them.
My p8 pro works , have multiple p8s that work flawlessly and my p9 that has a faster reaction to the fingerprint.

My guess is make sure you install it correctly. I didnt even any fancy one simply ones off amazon and they all work perfectly.
