Support for USB DisplayPort alternate mode is heading to the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
It will very interesting and fun and practical and minimalistic to have a phone also be able to run via usb-c connected to a monitor with wireless mouse and keyboard. The idea of being able to continue where you left off on your phone on a bigger display is very exciting - especially if the implementation is solid and the OS intuitive to use.
What do you guys think?
For context: I was about to buy the Pixel 6a soon (didn't for sometime because been too busy to try new stuff) but the idea of being able to use a phone through monitor is very exciting since sometime now for me. I think it can replace laptops for a lot of tasks and give a greater peace of mind by providing less dependence on other pieces of technologies like laptops for example on simple tasks such as browsing etc while making organising files on the phone easier and more fun by being able to do it on bigger screen etc
