Back up only contacts

Please forgive my ignorance, but I have no idea how to do this.

Is there a way to back up contacts only? For example, I would like to factory reset my phone. I have very little installed on my phone to begin with so I'm not worried about having to waste much time re-installing any applications. I would save a lot of time though by not having to manually enter in every single one of my contacts again. Is it possible?

401810 Open your Contacts app, tap on three lines top left, Settings - Export. Done, contacts saved. Use Import to import them from vcf file.

401810 As @[deleted] has said, you can export contacts using the default Contacts app which comes with GrapheneOS.

I use https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.github.tmo1.sms_ie/ to automatically backup a copy of Contacts, Call logs and SMS on a manually created folder (I named it Backups) once a day (You can choose your preferred time on settings) and auto sync that Backup folder to Mega once a day using FolderSync app. I follow the same rule for Aegis TOTP, Notes and calendar. You can skip FolderSync part and use NextCloud app to backup folders if you wish. You will need a self hosted cloud or an account with one of the NextCloud partners.

Another option is to use EteSync and enable contacts sync only. It's E2EE too.
