Securely Erase Data

I would like to know which method of deleting files that graphene uses, at the moment I am using ishredder from protectstar, using the same with "storage scopes", the app has several options, such as: NZSIT 402, ISM 6.2, RUSSIAN GOST, AFSSI-5020, NAVSO P-5239-26, CSEC ITSG-06, DOD 5220-M (E), CANADIAN RCMP TSSIT OPS-II, GUTMANN and the Protectstar SDA 50 cicles, it would be very nice if by default graphene gave us the option to choose the method for deleting files.

You don't need to worry about how secure your data deletion is if you use strong encryption which makes any data (even deleted) inaccessible.

i know that but i still use it and it could be a good function on graphene.

mclsza The best way to irreversibly wipe data on GOS is to delete a user profile or do full factory reset. The later is not very practical in many scenarios but former is very effective with little planning ahead. If you have sensitive data that you're likely to delete at some point, put such data in a separate user profile(s) and delete the profile to wipe all its data when needed.

DeletedUser115 thats what i do, and after doing it, i go to adm profile and run ishredder on free space. but even doing this would be if gos let us choose what erase algorithm use.

mclsza it's unnecessary to do that. Files are encrypted so it's not possible to open the file without the key. See https://grapheneos.org/faq#encryption.
