The "swipe to archive" feature of the Messaging app is a constant problem. It is constantly mixed up with with the "swipe to back out" gesture and is a daily headache. Anything GOS team could do about this? For me this mixup is non-stop. A clear UI/UX flaw.
Also when you search for a name using the phone app, the default action for clicking on the search result is to call the contact with no way to change this behaviour. This is a big problem. There is no way to search for a contact if you want to search, find, and do something other than calling. Even in the Messaging app there is no such option.
If you want to search for a contact you have to load the actual contact app, which is a nuisance. It would have been so much nicer if the search result would have worked similar to recent calls screen. When you click a person there it opens a sub menu with a few options of what do to. It would have been even better if this sub menu also included the "view contact" option.
The phone search option is kind of a serious usability limitation. A UX issue. The way i have to work around it is clunky and unintuitive. The automatic calling is also very unintuitive and unwanted.
I know these might be AOSP features, but could GOS do anything about them?
Thank you.
