Like Equal2024 and Pacienco have eluded to, what learning about how big tech collects information and wanting for privacy while having the convenience of tech is a big first step - just realizing that. Like they say, admitting you have a problem is the first step, and we do have a privacy problem!
What Graphene has done for me is shown how much control you can have, and how well it was developed and thought out to help with privacy and security and still give you the option of using "mainstream" apps while limiting how much data your giving up.
Yes, you can let big tech know some aspects of your life, while hiding others to not give them a full picture to make their relationship maps and federated cohorts less reliable, and hopefully have less influence on the masses for their maybe nefarious plans.
So yes, I think it is worth it to take even a small step towards privacy. Even if that means using some mainstream apps on Graphene.
