Lock screen w/o using power button

How likely is such feature to be introduced? I used to use double tap in top of the screen on my previous phone w/ Lineage 17. I read there is such button in the accessibility menu, but I don't see it if it can be shown at all in GrapheneOS.

balu you cannot lock the device without granting a third party app accessibility service permissions which opens a large attack surface across your device. Nova Launcher for instance can be granted it to use any of their gestures to lock the phone.

MetropleX I think it doesn't need to be necessary a 3rd party app. For example in the dropdown menu one can pull down from the top of the screen there is a button between the 'switch user' and 'settings', which gives access to emergency information, lockdown, restart and shut down.

What such gestures require is an accessibility service provided by a third party app, normally your chosen launcher, for that purpose.

Yes you can use the power button in the notification shade to "lockdown" but that isn't accessibility or just locking the phone. Lockdown has a specific purpose in removing the ability to use biometrics to unlock and forcing the PIN/Password method.

Be warned though that granting any accessibility service or device admin permissions to third party apps opens up huge attack surface across your device.
