matchboxbananasynergy People contributing code and helping with OS development, app development (the GrapheneOS-developed apps for the most part) and maintenance (help with porting to new versions etc.)
I could try that but I doubt that it's possible or even practical to do on a phone or an iPad.
matchboxbananasynergy Thorough testing. That means being willing to stay on the alpha/beta channel for the OS and/or GrapheneOS apps (Camera, PDF Viewer, Auditor) to help test new versions. https://app.element.io/#/room/%23testing:grapheneos.org is where this typically happens, and it is announced when new versions enter alpha and beta. All releases for both the OS and apps are production releases and nothing too likely to break on you. The reason for the alpha/beta channels existing is so that releases don't go out to everyone at once, so it would be great if we had more people in these early channels to test everything out and make sure nothing is broken. The reason we need more people is because something breaking might be dependent on one's setup, so that's where we need diversity and people using different apps etc.
Proper bug reports. If an issue is identified during alpha/beta testing, it would be great to let the team know in the room mentioned above, and if it is a bug that you've noticed that's outside of alpha/beta, to have good steps for the team to be able to reproduce it. Bonus points if you can determine whether it is an upstream issue or not (if you have a 2nd Pixel, keeping that on Stock to cross-reference that would be ideal).
These two sound like something that I could try my best to help with.
