maximus87 proBro I think it should be fixed? I didn't pay close attention, but I believe it was caused by a server being down so one repository was behind. Basically, sounds like the same thing happened as last time further up the thread.

I got this message today aswell, for the first time.
I'm in EU and on enforced WireGuard, EU server.

I am using Quad9 DNS via TLS aswell. Can it be that it reacts as switching US/EU depending on DNS relay location (which is EU on lookup but who knows) ?

Edit: I do have Orbot installed but I have never used it and it has never been activated. I have just been looking around. And Location is turned off.

I thought it might be worth the feedback, if it was regarding something else this time. "Security" and "downgrade" is a bit scary to see in the same message.

RockHyrax Probably9857 Thanks for letting us know. You can try connecting to a server in another region and you may stop getting that error. There was a Vanadium update earlier. It's likely that there was an issue pushing data to the server you're connecting to (or that's my understanding of what can cause this error).

If it's all the same to you, I'd rather be able to reproduce the error until there is a known cause.

I've encountered this issue today (started approx. 2-3 hours ago). Was getting java.security.GeneralSecurityException: repo downgrade when checking for updates. Anyone else?

PintOfGuinness I found this response from the GrapheneOS account on Discord to the error message:

it's due to us trying to phase out 3.releases.grapheneos.org, the last repo update wasn't uploaded to it but you still got it via DNS
we'll fix it
