Fingerprint Sensor light doesn't start.

Since the last or second last update, the fingerprint sensor on lock screen is acting up.

The fingerprint sensor starts scanning but the light on the sensor doesn't start. Without the backlight, the fingerprint sensor isn't able to detect my fingerprint at all.

Is this issue being faced by others as well or is this just my phone?

I had this issue on OnePlus device and that, I assumed, was a hardware issue. Sold it.

I also use a Pixel 6, and I haven't had any issues like the one you're describing.

Have you tried enrolling a new fingerprint? Does that work?

This sounds basic, of course, but have you rebooted your device?

matchboxbananasynergy Rebooted three times already. And the problem wasn't there an update or two before. It was fine before that. Also, it doesn't continuously occur. It comes and goes. Which is why new fingerprint or not, I can't really test it conclusively.

Interesting. Thank you for sharing more details. Is this across all profiles, owner and secondary?

We haven't really heard any other reports of this, so it's unlikely that a GrapheneOS change somehow broke this, especially since I'm using a Pixel 6 myself with no issues. I'd like a bit more information first, but it's not out of the question that this is some kind of hardware issue.

matchboxbananasynergy I'm not using fingerprint in my second profile but I'll enable it and let you know.

I can't rule out Hardware issue either but I am really careful about my phone since it's expensive and I haven't even let a scratch come to it.

But then again, if no one else is reporting this issue, It might just be my phone.
