flourishdev I am not sure if the security gap is as big as you claim. I find the privacy and security of ordinary Linux distributions to be adequate for my purposes, and at the same time I am not willing to sacrifice things like a proper terminal, development tools, raw device access, and more generally complete authority over my device (root). This sets apart an appliance like a phone from a hackable general purpose machine.
