cl0udy_gw I'm wondering: why do you (and multiple other posters) recommend iPhone? For "security"?
If (currently) Pixels are not an option or GrapheneOS isn't an option, iPhones are pretty much the only other devices that offer MTE and decent security similar to the Pixel lineup. You'll pay the Apple tax, and will suffer for not being able to customize the UI like you can with Android, but it's what is recommended if Graphene isn't an option.
cl0udy_gw My screens get broken because perhapse I use my phone a bit too "wildly". For example, I live near the ocean and frequently take it to the beach with me. I do actually use a good siliconen case + screen protector, normally.
Silicone case is not going to protect your phone nearly as well as a rugged case like @"Mikeg" mentioned https://www.otterbox.com/collections/google?compatible-with=Pixel+8a Otterbox is generally the best you can get, but you can find tons of rugged cases on Ebay and Amazon that are cheaper (and most likely vastly inferior quality depending on price difference and materials).
SplatterGames As for Pixels, even a Pixel 10 Pro XL screen replacement would run you only 219€ here. That's why I mentioned it. I think people have no clue about the insane price difference.
Yeah iPhones are insanely expensive to replace parts on, which is why AppleCare+ is generally something I also recommend to people who can't use Graphene for whatever reason and I recommend them to get an iPhone. It's almost an outright scam like any other extended warranty, but it's saved my hide a bunch of times when I had an iPhone and Watch. It was useless on my M2 MacBook Air lol.
