Hello,

Lately after some time I stop receiving notifications from several apps. When I reboot the phone it seems to work for a while and then stops. I've already switched battery optimization to unrestricted from the 2 phones ago. Since then the problem resolved until recently. This did not occur until a few days ago. This happens primarily on my main profile which has GOS google apps installed.

Is this a known issue being worked on?

Yacoma if you've Google Play Services installed in the profile, Google Play Services needs unrestricted battery usage and all 3 Google apps need network permission.

I run a few apps with unrestricted battery and I have observed similar issue. It sometimes happens when I "clear all" apps from recent apps menu or after running a memory intensive app like a PUBGM. Despite the fact they are supposed to keep active, they close in the background. Just for peace of mind you can check in Settings - System - Developer options - Running apps that your app is still alive.

I don't you need to enable developer options to do that. You can view actively running apps at the bottom of the notification shade.

treequell that could be it. My Google Play Services app was on optimized, switched it to unrestricted. Let's see.

treequell My Proton VPN and Whatsapp run always, yet they don't show there (well VPN does, but that I can plainly see in status bar)

I'm fairly certain is was Google play services being on optimized. Just now the problem started again and as soon as I switched that it seems to be gone. Looks like its solved.
