The one thing holding me back from GrapheneOS is an Android Auto replacement.

Much of my time is spent navigating trails and I like having my off road mapping available on my vehicle's display.

Are there any plans to implement AA or a workaround? I understand AA is tied deeply into the system, I would just like to know everyone's thoughts.

Android Auto for phone screens is being deprecated so we won't be accepting anything to make it work, whether it's privileged toggles, stubs, sandboxed Google Play shims, etc.

I'm not interested Android for phone screens. I guess I got my answer though, thank you.

Used to love car play. I've learned to live without Android Auto. Ymmv of course

I am just looking to clarify. I've searched and it seems like there are 2 pieces. The android auto application is deprecated.

The android auto system level integration while it isn't depreciated is also not something that will be integrated into graphene?

Thanks!

memberberryfarms in one memberberry 👍 system level integration into the OS would be antithetical to the projects aims.

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure if android auto was the equivalent of hooking up a monitor to your computer or if google had its fingers in there somehow.
