Short story aside the topic: Once I had a clothing store here in Berlin and so I often had tourists as customers. One day a nice pair came in, English speaking and absolutely hard to understand, I've been asking where they are from, he answered "from Nottinghaaaaam, England".
Another time a young man came in, very clearly speaking and easy to understand, I was really amazed about that and this guy was from Philadelphia, USA. Didn't know that there are so huge differences in English dialects, so that it's possibly comparable with the differences in Berlin based, Saxon or Bavarian dialects here in Germany. 😆
