Revolut app from Aurora store stopped working today

Hi,

Trying to use today the Revolut app, I get a message that says the app is not working anymore, as it is not installed from a supported app store. The app was installed from the Aurora store. It has been working fine until now, and I did not update the app.

The app version was 8.84 (version code 808400456). I updated to the latest version 8.95 (veesionCode 809500610) but the message remains the same.

The message is clear and I assume that GrapheneOS has nothing to do with this but just wanted to let you know that this happens and also ask if anyone else started getting this ? Also, any way to bypass this ?

I don't think there is a way to do this within GrapheneOS.

zx9r5 weird, ive update to this latest version with aurora store but it still works for me

I can confirm that. Just uninstall the app and reinstall through play store. You can then disable play services if you like.

Hat Yes, this was running in the Owner profile.

Try installing the apk through ADB using the command, this will make the app installation source as google play store.
adb shell pm install -i "com.android.vending" -r (path to apk)

first you need to push the apk to tmp folder using .
adb push app.apk /data/local/tmp/app.apk

then run
adb shell pm install -i "com.android.vending" -r /data/local/tmp/app.apk

I haven't tried this method yet, just curious if it will "satisfy" the app, maybe some of them.
The explanation I saw in StackOverflow said "The PackageManager class supplies the getInstallerPackageName method that will tell you the package name of whatever installed the package you specify. Side-loaded apps will not contain a value."
So, the app can still be unhappy with the approved installation source since it's missing.

W1zardK1ng i luckily dont have this issue with revolut installed from aurora but this was just very useful for me to a completely differrent app. thank you!
