Or try Aurora store for the bank app. // Create new sandbox user profile. Install Aurora from github into the same user profile, or by installing F-droid first. When the bank app is installed try opening without any google play installs, and see messages. Now from the Graphene App store, install google play services only, you don't have to sign in to GPS. It just has to run in the same space. See what happens, have an email app run in the same user space for verification mails from AIB without having to leave user space.

Make sure you don't already have same version of Aurora store app installed in another profile. Or any version. I would leave the owner space free from any apps.
